What are Armenian-Americans and others asking for?

Armenian-Americans and others are asking NPFH chapters throughout the country to sever their ties with the ADL until the latter forthrightly and unambiguously acknowledges the Armenian Genocide and publicly and unequivocally supports Congressional affirmation of the genocide. In Massachusetts, Watertown, Belmont, Newton, Lexington, Arlington, Westwood and Medford have already broken ties with the ADL.

We should mention that ADL not only sponsors and certifies that a NPFH program follows ADL’s rules, but also requires that a municipal “governing body”, such as a town or city council, or a school committee, certify the local NPFH. Thus, the municipal government and elected and appointed officials, not just the NPFH, are bound to the ADL.
